The Tea

LAUREL Teas are handcrafted medicinal botanical blends of organically grown and selectively wild-crafted roots, leaves, fruits, flowers, barks and branches.  They are blended for specific conditions and uses, based on the medicinal qualities attributed to each botanical.  Our teas are caffeine free and made from the finest botanicals grown and harvested by hands with the utmost consciousness of our diminishing world. Created by a licensed naturopathic physician for wellness, scent and flavor, LAUREL Teas are true artisan remedies.


Our Craft

The craft of blending and utilizing nature’s bounty for health and wellness has been practiced by many cultures for centuries.  Our craft involves blending medicinal, energetic, and physical (i.e. taste/flavor and color) properties of botanicals into each cup of tea.  Teas are handmade in small batches to assure quality, flavor and freshness.  All of the teas are non-caffeinated consisting purely of medicinal botanicals for a healthful life.

These teas are designed and developed by a board certified naturopathic physician.  Years of education, experience and passion are the foundation of these remedies.  Our teas have been developed to support different systems of the body and we encourage you to seek the advise of an appropriate healthcare practitioner in the treatment of any condition.


Create a Ritual

In discovering your own ritual of tea, we suggest using all of the senses. 

        -Smell the tea dry, and while it steeps. 

        -Look for color changes as the botanicals diffuse through the water and after multiple steeps. 

        -Listen to the botanicals swell and expand with the water. 

        -Feel the warmth of the tea.

        -Taste the subtleties and nuances that make each tea unique.


Preparation

We recommend pure spring water brought to a boil- about 200 degrees for the best flavor and greatest medicinal potency. 

We recommend preparing our teas in a French Press or teapot.  It is best to use a device that allows the botanicals room to unfurl and expand.  This will allow for optimal diffusion of the medicinal components and complete flavor.
